Can I Be Hypnotized?
MOST Frequently Asked Question
What most people do not realize that is hypnosis is actually a natural state for each of us. There are many times throughout the day that our mind simply drifts off into a hypnotic state, whether it is because we trying to do too many things at once (how often do you drive to a location and not remember the drive?) or because we are electing to allow this state (such as when we go to the movies).
There are only 2 times that we go into a hypnotic state naturally that are predictable though; just before we fall asleep at night (be careful what you watch on tv or read just before bed ... you are taking that into your unconscious with you) and when we wake up in the morning.
Since every single one of us experience the state of hypnosis naturally, then it is only natural to assume that you can allow yourself to enter this state quickly, calmly and easily if you so choose.

Are you going to make me quack like a duck?
2nd Most Frequently Asked Question
Let me ask you a question in return ... would you normally quack like a duck?
This question receives a lot of attention because of stage hypnosis shows where the presenter has people doing all kinds of crazy things ... BECAUSE IT IS A SHOW.
What people do not realize is that when in hypnosis YOU are actually the one in control. Each and every time a hypnotherapist gives you a suggestion, YOU actually decide whether you will accept or reject that suggestion. The hypnotherapist is only the facilitator; all the work is done within you. Therefore anything that is unethical, immoral or against your core beliefs will be rejected. YOU are in control even while in hypnosis.
So while it may be fun to ask you to quack like a duck; there is generally no therapeutic benefit and so rest assured that quacking like a duck, barking like a dog, clucking like a chicken are not something we will encounter in our session together.

How Might I Benefit From Hypnosis?
Vocational and Avocational Benefits of Hypnosis
Have you ever felt like you were beating your head against the wall(figuratively speaking) trying to get something accomplished? You set a goal and start off all motivated and Gung Ho only to find that after a few obstacles your determination and drive are not as strong as the barriers that have presented themselves?
Hypnosis helps to bridge that gap. The truth is that your unconscious mind does not like change. In fact, it often works against you when you are trying to accomplish something.
By opening the connection between the conscious and unconscious mind we give ourselves an added advantage or edge to help reach that goal or make that change because we have both minds working in the same direction. THIS IS VERY POWERFUL. It is the difference between trying to row your boat upstream versus downstream.
Hypnosis can be used for a variety of reasons including increasing motivation, getting better grades, performing better in sports, eliminating fears and phobias, smoking cessation, weight management/reduction, connecting to your deeper inner self for guidance and direction and so much more.
